Stolen Says: Lauren Conrad Line

Lauren Conrad’s line, branded (surprise, surprise) LC, has just hit the shelves at Kohl’s.  While the collection is a little  SoCal for some New Yorkers, a selection of her items are definitely chic enough to strut in come Memorial Day.

This belted, sleeveless mini-dress is perfect for a Casual Friday.  It’s a versatile choice that says fashionable professional and will impress both your business and social networks. Corporatize it up with LC’s Boyfriend Blazer for those lengthy office meetings, and when you’re ready for drinks with the girls at Hotel Empire, shed that extra layer.

If you’re not feeling the blazer look for the office or bare shoulders for the evening, the dress below is a great substitute.  Floral prints (the essence of spring fashion) are almost an extra accessory, but they’re not loud enough to prevent you from adding your own bling!

A note of caution: these may be a trifle too short if you don’t work at Lucky Magazine, but Lauren has cleverly included some sleek leggings in her collection that make the ensemble office appropriate.  Just remember to leave the Boyfriend Blazer and the leggings behind for your date at Raoul’s.

As far as shoes go, choose carefully and plan for your events.  Open-toe and peep-toe policies vary from office to office, but the height of the pumps featured here is actually inadvisable.  Flats would work quite well with either of these outfits (and they’d play down the short hemline), so don’t stack yourself up any more than three inches. LC’s 6-inch spike-heeled platforms are not professional and come happy hour, you’ll  be one of those tipsy-topsy women who seems to flail at the breeze of passing taxis.

Lauren’s Looks:

Floral Chiffon Dress: $39.99 (on sale)

Boyfriend Blazer: $39.99 (on sale)

Floral Sheath Dress: $41.99 (on sale)

Solid Leggings: $14.99 (on sale)

Be sure to check out the rest of LC’s line.
