I’ll always remember this outfit fondly… it was my First Day of Work outfit from last summer. To me, it represents a transition into the corporate lifestyle, a completely new phase of my life. I’ve learned so much about the legal field, but even more about fashion and its power to transform. This ensemble made me feel empowered – like I could conquer the world.
To this day, I haven’t worn these peep toe pumps to the office. I originally got them to go with my First Day of Work outfit, but I didn’t have a proper pedicure. If you’re going to don the open toed shoe, make sure your toes are painted, even if they’re not professionally done. All you need is a couple of coats of color and a glossy top coat to make a professional statement.
These are my favorite bangles for a couple of reasons. You can layer as many or as few as you’d like. For a delicate look, layer five or six. For a bolder statement, stack them all on one wrist. They’re so simple, yet so versatile!
I wish I knew the starring role cardigans were going to play in my future summer wardrobe. I would have stocked up big time!! Sounds backwards, I know, but sweaters are essential year round. In the winter, you want to bundle up as much as humanly possible as it seems to be cold both inside and outside. In the summer, you’ll have goosebumps indoors without one. It may be a hot and humid 90 degrees outside, but you can bet the temperature is hovering around 65 inside – a stark contrast to that dreadful, sticky heat! It’s refreshing for the first few minutes, but when the chill starts setting in you’ll be happy to have a cardigan. Don’t forget yours!
