A Skirt with Pockets

I’m going to be sad when this skirt dies.  It’s my favorite spring/summer skirt option in my closet because it’s lightweight, creates a polished look and … has pockets! It’s a pencil skirt with a twist, so although it has a classic silhouette, it feels like something new because of the pleating, pockets and belt.

More fun with closeups.  When we realized the power of Lindsay’s camera, we just couldn’t stop.  Doesn’t this ring look fabulous? It comes from the best bead shop in the country: The Beadin’ Path.  Located in Freeport, Maine, it is light-years beyond any other bead store I’ve ever visited in presentation, creativity, inventory and customer service.  Now that I’m living in NYC, I miss the lovely ladies of The Beadin’ Path and all of their inspiring creations!

Please note that both the shoes and the skirt have buckles.  Accessory matchy match… ta da!  Plus, can you see the little Lindsay in the shoe buckle?

I love skirts and dresses with pockets! Kind of like how it’s debonair for a gentleman to have one hand in his suit trousers, it’s chic for the lady to put her hand in a dress pocket. Plus, you can hide anything in those things…cameras, backup cosmetics, pepper spray…op, getting ahead of myself.
