What did Cubicle Chic do over the weekend? We bopped down to Coach’s Soho store for their launch party featuring 10 fantastic style bloggers who will appear in their 2010 holiday campaign. It was a great party and lots of fun to meet some New York City’s finest bloggers.

A T-Shirt in the Meatpacking District

Shorts! We have a love-hate relationship. Either too short, too long, too high, too tight – it’s hard to find the pair that’s just right. I’m not saying that these are that pair, but with shorts everywhere this summer, I dug deep into my closet to find something I could wear out of the apartment and was pleasantly surprised when these still fit. Plus, the white matches well with the navy tee (rather classic American, no?).

A simple silk tee calls for a fancy necklace. This was an affordable find at H&M (only $10!) and brings lots of character to the outfit. And like all good statement necklaces, it sits heavy on your chest so you never forget it’s there. Question: these bangs are ready for a trim, but how many of you cut your own bangs? With my uncoordinated tendencies, I think I would just be asking for trouble!

Meredith’s Look:

Shirt: Thrifted, $7

Shorts: The Gap, so old I have no idea of the price!

Necklace: H&M, $10

Bracelet: The Beadin’ Path, $6

Purse: Coach, $1 thrifted

Shoes: Kelly & Katie, $35

Bloggers Design Bags!

Last night, Cubicle Chic attended the Coach Collectibles event celebrating the launch of four handbags designed by our favorite fashion bloggers. It was such a treat to see their gorgeous pieces (each really had its own character) and to have the chance to personally meet each one of them. All four women are incredibly talented, accomplished and beautiful, and we can only dream of making it as far as they have. You ladies are amazing!

The stars of the show! From left: Emily, Karla, Krystal and Kelly.

We want to send a huge thank you to Elizabeth for taking photos for us – you’re the best!

Kendra of Closet Confections.

After finding the champagne and playing with sunglasses, we got over our star-struck jitters and met the bloggers themselves. So, here’s what you’ve been waiting for: the bags and their designers!

Karla of Karla’s Closet.  We caught her in a brief moment of quiet.

Isn’t her dress absolutely fabulous? We admire Karla for her creativity in combining vintage and contemporary pieces (and her impressive collection of blazers!), and for the Coach event, she did not disappoint! Karla was such a pleasure to meet, and her bag (below) is amazing! We love how it can double as a clutch and a shoulder purse, and it was larger in person than we expected, a lovely surprise!

Kelly of The Glamourai (above) looked even more glamorous than could be expected! Meredith, in particular, is an avid follower of her blog because Kelly’s style is refreshingly different and her jewelry is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. You must check it out! We both thought her bag would make a great daytime purse because it’s large enough for holding all of your essentials but small enough to tote around all day! Its side tassel provides a little extra flair and we’re crazy about the neutral gray color!

We were so excited to meet Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere! Lindsay is an especially big fan because of the subject matter: how can you not love a blogger who covers fashion AND dessert? Needless to say, her blog is one of our daily reads, and not only is she an inspiration in her sense of style, but we love the gorgeous photos, positive energy and enthusiasm for her work. Emily: Don’t stay in sunny CA too long – come back to NYC again soon!

Before Coach could kick us out at the end of the evening (we couldn’t help but linger!), we got a photo with Krystal of What is Reality Anyway, a girl who exudes style, fun and a little rock n’ roll. The fringe on her bag makes a great statement, and after meeting her, it’s obvious that it matches her personality perfectly. (Krystal – can we have your hair?)

What beautiful bloggers!

Thank you to the bloggers and Coach for a lovely evening! We wish you the best of luck in your collaboration!
